The MVPs that make it all happen.

  • Their scope of work has ranged from intricate retrofit that helped to finally cure original installation defects that caused problems on campus for years, to complete exterior and interior glazing system design, fabrication and installation on many major new construction projects. Their most recent achievements include our new Arts & Letters academic office and classroom facility, which was a major challenge based on how the glazing systems needed to design into a complex masonry wall, and our campus Art Museum, which was also a very complicated glazing project due to aesthetic as well as sound insulation criteria. These projects, like all others before them, were completed on time, within budget and with an unsurpassed level of quality workmanship. I am grateful for the integral role that Glass Solutions played in the successful completion of many key projects at DePaul University. They are consummate professionals that should be considered for anyone’s glass and glazing system needs.

  • It has been our pleasure to work with Glass Solutions from their inception. Bulley & Andrews was one of the first to engage this young company 10 years ago and this was due to the trust and confidence we had in past projects with Tom Hill and his team. As the Company has grown, so has our trust. Today, we engage Glass Solutions in all phases of the building process from pre-construction budgets, single door glazing through multi-million dollar complex curtain wall & wall panel projects. The Company has grown to be one of Chicago’s "go to" glass and glazing contractors and we know our glass and glazing work will be done correctly when Glass Solutions is on the team.

  • ESA worked closely with Glass Solutions to design a curtainwall system for a highly visible project in suburban Chicago. Because of the season the project was being built in, there were concerns about weather negatively impacting the progress of construction while the curtainwall was being set. Glass Solutions was able to shop fabricate the wall in sections and deliver them to the field. They installed 120 lineal feet of 20’ tall curtain wall in a day and a half instead of the two weeks in the original schedule saving both money and time.

  • ...the recent completion of the Northern Trust Company new lobby renovation project was a prime example of closely working with a subcontractor to coordinate all the little details to ensure installation would be completed flawlessly. The project included interior/exterior glass ceiling panels (manufactured in Canada), frameless new entrance with revolving doors, 15' tall curved glass panels (manufactured in Spain) and an operable glass wall system. All of these various systems required precise coordination with numerous other trades, which Glass Solutions field personnel provided throughout the sequence of the project. We feel the services GSI provided, as well as the quality of workmanship, were a huge part in the success.
