The safety of our employees is of the utmost importance to Glass Solutions, Inc.

Lead by our Safety Director, Kevin Hill, GSI manages a “Zero Accident” philosophy as expected by our construction partners and upholds the highest PPE (Personal Protection Equipment) standards. We have site safety plans that illustrate project specifics for our glaziers and contractors.

It is important that we not only invest in today, but into the future as well. Each month, a foreman meeting is held at GSI’s headquarters with a focus on safety. In addition to safety, the group also discusses all things going on in the field- improving communication between operations, field and shop.

As a company, we regularly participate and are proficient in providing appropriate documentation for projects resulting in Platinum, Gold and Silver LEED Certifications.

In addition, GSI was awarded the 2018 Bob Krier Award for excellence in LEAN Construction. We have worked hard to establish the following sustainability practices in our day to day operations:

Recycling:

We have a trash compactor to condense down all paper and cardboard material that passes through our manufacturing facility.

Racks/Bunks vs. Crates:

We have worked with our major glass and metal suppliers to establish a program where 80% of our orders are delivered to us on steel racking/bunk systems in lieu of wooden crates- eliminating waste.

As a Certified Environmentally Responsible Contractor,

We are aware of the environmental risks associated with construction activities and have trained our employees with a step-by-step plan to reduce or mitigate these risks.
We are driven to protect our groundwater, soil and the people in our community through pollution prevention and job site safety.

This certification is awarded to contractors who are leading the construction industry through Pollution Prevention Practices that prevent the release of toxic and hazardous pollutants into the environment.
