Manufacturing Laborer

Glass Solutions, Inc. is seeking a Manufacturing Laborer who will perform work activities in relation to the glass and glazing façade industry to include fabrication and assembly of aluminum frames, glazing, trimming and bunking/crating.

Glass Solutions, Inc. is a regional commercial glazing contractor, primarily focusing on exterior facades, tenant improvements and specialty glazing on new, existing and renovated building projects. Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Includes, but not limited to:

Unload, inspect, tag and organize aluminum stock lengths, glass, panels, accessories and other materials.
Sort, inspect and prepare fabricated materials within each manufacturing station.
Cutting, fabrication, pre-assembly, assembly, glazing, trimming, cleaning, packaging and loading of curtainwall, storefront and window components and/or pre-glazed curtainwall units.
Quality control of finished products to meet industry standards and/or project specifications.
Set up equipment accurately, safely and carry out regular maintenance as per maintenance schedule.
Maintain work areas, equipment, tools and supplies in a clean, orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures.

Qualifications

High School diploma required.
Skills / Aptitude
- Skilled in using hand/power tools such as drill, saw, grinders, drill press and jig saw.
- Reading a tape measure to the 32nd of an inch.
- Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
- English speaking and writing.
Detail oriented with the ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
Self-motivated with the ability to work in a team and independently.
